Inviting people

Adding collaborators to a project, and what happens on their end.

Open the project and use the collaborator control in the project header. On a personal project, add people by email address and pick the role they should get. On an organisation project the same box searches the organisation's members and teamspaces — pick one and they are on the project at once, no acceptance needed — and an address from outside the organisation becomes a guest invitation, when the organisation allows members to invite guests.

What the invitee sees

  1. They receive an invitation

    By email, and in the app if they already have an account.

  2. They accept

    If they do not have an account yet, accepting walks them through creating one first. The invitation stays attached to the address it was sent to.

  3. The project appears in their sidebar

    A personal project lands under Collab — not under My Projects, which is for work they own. An organisation project appears under the organisation, or the teamspace it lives in. See Organising projects.

Changing or removing access

The member list shows everyone on the project, including pending invitations. From there you can change a role or remove someone, provided you hold the capability to do so.

Note

Removing someone from a project does not delete anything they made. Their drawings, comments and versions stay — authorship is recorded, not tied to continued access.
